Autism Services of FL is a one of a kind company that will be providing a variety of services for children with disabilities. The goal of Autism Services of FL is to provide personalized applied behavior analysis services using scientific based practices that are within the scope of our practice. By providing highly effective services, parents will not only watch their child grow but will also play a vital role in their overall development.
1) Center-Based Applied Behavioral Analysis Services – We provide one-on-one therapy services. The highly structured environment is ideal for children who need intensive behavioral modification services. Client’s will be receiving medically necessary services as deemed by an executive certified clinician. All behavioral plans will be individualized according to the child’s specific needs while targeting communication, functional, emotional, and daily living skills. Through Autism Services of FL’s comprehensive approach, we strive to provide the necessary medical services to decrease maladaptive behaviors while simultaneously increasing the appropriate replacement behaviors.
2) Community Outings – Autism Services of FL provides community outings for age appropriate children. We understand the importance of learning outside the classroom. At Autism Services of FL we take the approach of providing the medically necessary services in order for a child to successfully complete activities of daily living. Therefore, our clinicians will be developing goals in order to increase a child’s ability to become a successful member of society.
3) Homeschooling – Autism Services of FL will provide homeschooling services. We at Autism Services of FL understand the frustration that some parents have with not being able to individualize their child’s educational needs. Here we will be providing homeschooling services for both parents and children who are looking for a small highly structured educational setting that incorporates ABA techniques. Services will be provided by a certified Florida ESE teacher.
4) Tutoring – Autism Services of FL will provide tutoring services. These services will be structured for children with disabilities that need additional one on one support for specific subject areas. Services will be provided by a certified Florida ESE teacher.
Nicole Edge, MS, BCBA
Since 2011, Nicole Edge has been working in the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis. During the early years, Nicole worked as a Behavioral Technician. This job entailed working directly with a client for approximately 20 to 30 hours per week. During these sessions, it was her duty to implement goals along with teaching the appropriate replacement behaviors. As the years progressed, a desire to become a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) had evolved. Therefore, she went back to school to obtain the necessary verified coursework in order to sit for the national exam. During these years, Nicole worked under a variety of different BCBA’s learning the necessary skill set needed along with obtaining the necessary supervision required by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). In May 2017, Nicole passed her national board exam and became a BCBA. Over the past four years, Nicole has been able to build her knowledge of ABA. In February of 2021, Nicole decided to open Autism Services of FL.
For over 20 years, Tim Edge has been working as a sales professional. Prior to his Outside Sales Manager position at Clayborn Lab, he worked for Dekoron Unitherm for 25 years where he held many management positions. Most notably, Tim Edge has shown excellent skill in direct sales. His ability to build relationships with customers and prospects is what has made him a highly respected professional in his field.
As a partner in the ownership of Autism Services of Florida, LLC (ASF), Tim Edge will utilize his sales skills to develop relationships with area pediatric professionals in an effort to maximize clientele. Tim’s passion for the services ASF provides its clients is what drives him to succeed.
Tim is also a native Floridian, born in Lee County where ASF resides. He is well known and has many resources that will help the anticipated fast growth of ASF.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys the outdoors. If he’s not boating or fishing, you’ll probably find him on the golf course.
